SERVICES OFFERED
Free Initial Consultation
Potential clients (or their parents/guardians) meet with Jessica to discuss their needs and how Jessica Washer Speech Therapy can help them.
30 minute or 1 hour therapy session
Clients will receive individual, personalized therapy based around mutually agreed upon goals. Practice exercises may be assigned to be completed before the next session in order to assist in therapy generalization and continuity of treatment.
Assessment
Clients will be assessed using a variety of informal and formal assessment techniques in order to get the most accurate picture of their current speech and language capabilities. While the assessment process typically takes approximately 1 hour, it may take up to 3 hours and will require parent/guardian participation. We can also review any speech assessment that is less than 3 years old to begin therapy.
General Appointment Information
Appointment frequencies will be based upon the specific needs and schedules of each individual client. Each therapy session will be provided by a state licensed and ASHA (American Speech Language Hearing Association) certified Speech Language Pathologist. Sessions can be provided with siblings and parents in attendance in order to train family members on how to continue to help at home or in one-on-one settings. Jessica offers parent guidance and training with every therapy session so that parents can support their children outside of the therapy setting. Practice exercises to be completed before the next therapy session may be provided to clients in order to help therapy generalization. Online or printed resources will be given to clients on an individualized basis to access at any time.
